Straight Oils

EASY GRIND

The EASY GRIND product line are straight oil grinding fluids designed to work on a wide variety of metals including all ferrous, non – ferrous metals and even carbide. They are moderate duty, low odor, light colored grinding fluids designed to prevent misting, provide corrosion resistance and make a user-friendly experience. They can also be used for many cutting, milling, and turning operations. Call an AFI representative to find the right EASY GRIND fluid for your operation.

FLUTEGRIND 100

A medium duty oil designed for flute grinding applications. It is compatible for use on all ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It is designed to be light colored, low odor, low foaming, and is inhibited for oxidation.

HONING OIL 62

A general-purpose honing oil which can be used on all ferrous metals and stainless steels. It is not recommended for use on aluminum, yellow metals, or copper containing alloys. HONING OIL 62 prevents galling between the work-piece and the tool, keeps the abrasive clean, and delivers maximum cutting rates and abrasive life even when honing difficult materials such as stainless steels. It is a low odor and light color oil product which makes this product more user friendly, unlike many typical general purpose honing oils. HONING OIL 62 is compatible for use on all types of honing equipment. This fluid is also effective as a general cutting oil for drilling, tapping, and reaming applications.

HONING OIL 63NF

A general-purpose honing oil containing non-staining sulfur and fatty material which can be used on all ferrous and non-ferrous metals and stainless steels. It can be used on aluminum, yellow metals, or copper containing alloys. HONING OIL 63NF prevents galling between the work-piece and the tool, keeps the abrasive clean, and delivers maximum cutting rates and abrasive life even when honing difficult materials such as stainless steels. It is a low odor and light color oil product which makes this product more user friendly, unlike many typical general purpose honing oils. HONING OIL 63NF is compatible for use on all types of honing equipment. This fluid is also effective as a general cutting oil for drilling, tapping, and reaming applications.

POWER – TAP HEAVY

A heavy-duty light colored and low odor type tapping fluid, designed for use on all ferrous and most non-ferrous metals including aluminum and brass. This fluid has a high viscosity, enabling it to cling to taps and metal surfaces for improved performance. It does not have a strong sulfur odor and will not leave a black residue after use.

POWER – TAP III

A heavy-duty, high viscosity, clinging type tapping fluid. This fluid is designed for use on ferrous, nickel/chrome, titanium, and other hard metals. It should be tested for staining prior to use on copper containing and aluminum alloys. It contains a tacking agent to help it cling to taps on higher speed applications.

POWER – BLANK HD 50

An extremely heavy duty, high viscosity, straight oil blanking, drawing and stamping compound. This product contains a high amount of extreme pressure additives for prevention of galling with excellent adherence and anti-wipe properties. POWER-BLANK HD 50 may be used as supplied for heavy blanking, deep drawing, or severe stamping applications. You may blend with oil for less severe operations, i.e.; floor pans, hoods, frames, cross members, brackets, etc.

POWER – KUT

A heavy duty versatile cutting fluid. Designed with extreme pressure additives to outcompete most typical straight oil cutting fluids. The POWER – KUT series can be used on virtually all ferrous and non-ferrous metals including hard alloys. It is designed to be used for cutting, milling, turning and broaching, however, the POWER – KUT series features many products that can be used as a bi- and tri-functional fluid in applications like hydraulic fluids and machine lubricants.

SWISSLUBE B

A heavy – duty cutting and grinding oil. It contains a combination of Extreme Pressure, and Lubricant, additives that enable it to handle the most severe machining operations. It is compatible for use on all ferrous metals and stainless steels. The product is light in color and low in odor, with a light vanilla/sassafras fragrance. It can be used for cutting, milling, turning, broaching and grinding.

POWER – DRAW

Our POWER – DRAW product line is made for heavy duty drawing and stamping applications. It contains synergistic additives that eliminate bacteria growth and withstand extreme pressures. POWER – DRAW can be used on a wide variety of materials including all ferrous metals and most non-ferrous metals like galvanized steel and aluminum. All POWER – DRAW products can be diluted with water to meet the needs of lighter duty applications. Call an AFI representative to figure out exactly which POWER – DRAW product is right for you.

SUPER – SOL

Our SUPER – SOL product line consists of light to heavy duty soluble oils designed to handle some of the most difficult machining applications. A combination of synergistic additives provides corrosion protection, low foaming, hard water stability and lubrication characteristics. Semi-Synthetic

SEMI – SYN

Our SEMI – SYN product line provides semi-synthetic cooling for a variety of metal removal processes. Unlike most products ours will phase separate extraneous oils so they can be removed by skimmers and coolant recycling systems. SEMI – SYN is designed to provide excellent tool-life and part finish, as well as good corrosion protection and low foaming. Synthetic

SYN – COOL

Our SYN – COOL product lines are 100% true solution synthetics designed to work on a range of light to heavy duty machining applications. They are designed to provide excellent lubrication and extreme pressure characteristics for machining and grinding. SYN – COOL is specially formulated to be tramp oil rejecting, low foaming, bacterial and fungal resistant, protects from corrosion and has excellent hard water stability.
